today a close friend of mine delivered a baby boy via emergency c-section.. it was amazing to see the father walk out of the delivery room with the baby in ALL SMILES... when the baby was just 3 minutes old!!!

i have watched baby story, etc on tv... but never been at present at the time of the birth to witness pretty much of almost everything!!! it was so emotional for me (those who know me.. i get mushy EASILY! :giggle: ).. even though i am not a mom or ever experienced having a baby.. but i can empathize with the new parents! it was great be part of their joy today!!

i got to see them bath the weigh the baby, measure the baby, the footprinting of the baby, and his first bath... and watching his father cooing over him the whole time... it was so exciting!! i really wanted to hold the baby.. but i didnt want to give him my germs as i have been sick with viral infection in the last few days.. even though i am feeling better.. i didn't want to risk passing it onto him or anyone else in the room... can't wait to hold him as soon as i am fully recovered!!! :D

it is funny... the parents and in-laws teased me that it was my fault that he came early!! cuz last sunday i was over their house celebrating the mom's birthday and i talked to the baby in her belly saying "PLEASE COME ON TUESDAY!!!" so many times lol  :bump: ... i was just joking around... AND HE DID COME TODAY!! SHEESH!!! but really they had to do an emergency c-section to save the mom and pj as the mom was told on monday that she had so much fluid in her belly and that it was too risky.. if the water broke.. it would put pj in a great danger so they wanted to take him out before her water broke/she went into labor... so the dr PICKED today.. NOT ME!!! cuz it was the ONLY DAY AVAILABLE at the hospital... so it is not my fault!! :P whats more... my friend is 41... she miscarried last summer and got preggers few weeks later---> GO FIGURE!!! so i am JUST THANKFUL that she was able to carry pj to full term and that he is HEALTHY AS A HORSE! :)

just thought id share my exciting story.. it might not be much of a big deal to you guys... but it meant a lot to me.. :D

Awesome!

When my girls were born, both moments were the most unforgettable moments of my life. It is hard to explain...it is undescribable....one has to be there to understand.

Glad you understand the miracle of birth now!

That's so awesome...I would love to have that experience one day in the future!

and those moments/hours will not be forgotten!!! .. i had some "first" pictures taken with the baby too! :giggle:

it is a wonderful feeling! My first son, only laid on my chest for like 5 secs then was rushed to NICU due to respiratory distress, did not see him like 6 hours later,, I was frantic because it was my first child! seeing the drs and nurses doing cpr on my firstborn, it was scary feeling.

when it came to our second child, we were worried if it happened again,, nope, my son came too fast to the world only giving me 5 mins to push, I was able to hold him on my chest and pass flying colors. He was awake for so long like 4 hrs, looking and checking us out. It was wonderful feeling anyhow I love my boys dearly!

yea.. she only saw/kissed him for like 2 seconds cuz the dad was TOO PSYCHED!!! and whisked him away  and didn't get to hold him until 4:30 pm.. (he was born at 1:22pm) cuz she was all wired up with iv, blood pressure, morphine, etc.. and was all numbed up as well..
