AHHHHHHHH :run: eeeeeeeeeeeek! im nervous wreck!

anybody got stories abt knee surgerys? leg surgeries? ankle surgeries? so i can have an idea of what to expect even though it s probably not same as it will be for me.:hyper:

Wellllllll...let's see now, the surgeon will put on boxing gloves and knock you out, then stand by and watch the nurses 'tickle' you, listening to how you laugh--when they have had enough of that, they'll go to Home Depot to get brand new saw blades for their power saw..................................

Oh! Don't be nervous! They will give you sleepy rest and not feeling your body while surgery. Keep faith to God! My mom in law surgery leg before. She take pills and sleepy less pain. You will be fine and take pills and not much pain.

On the other hand, I have had surgery and arthroscoptic surgery done on my right knee years ago--first surgery wasn't done too well which led to doing the arthroscoptic surgery over a year later. With the second one, they gave me a choice of either fully under ( anesthesia) or insert a needle in my lower back to numb the waist down--I asked about side effects...and finding out that there was more with having the the waist down numbed, I opted for going under. Afterwards, not being able to move the knee/leg...but the leg was placed on a machine that slowly bend my knee very little, as time wore on, increasing the amount of bending my knee to a point...when a certain point was acheived, then I was able to check out of the hospital and hopping around on crutches for almost 6 weeks long. It was several months later when I felt like my knee was back to being 'normal', being able to move around freely as before the operation.

Hope all goes well with your surgery and take it easy too! ;)

Hey man, don't stress, it can't get worse than mine, during a surgery when I was 12 years old, the surgeon mistakenly cut my right ear off!! I kept it with me for one night, (my ear) and it was reattached the next morning!

My gran had one of those knee replacement surgeries, and trust me, she's fine, and she does a helluva lot more walking than me, I'm too lazy because I have a car!!

Trust me all will be well!

God keep you.

If they do, tell them to put it back, and yes take them to court and sue them for gross negligence!

Don't worry, you will be fine, trust me...

I know my gran had a walking thing for like 2 months, and then she threw it away, said I can walk now and trust me she walks perfectly fine!!

He was supposed to do a simple thing, put gromets in my ear!!

Thats why I wanted to be a doctor, so I could put some sense into their brains
