I was watching Primetime about foster children and how hard it is for them to be adopted. It's heartbreaking because so many of them never got a chance to be adopted because their foster parents can't handle them.

But in that show, there was a troubled boy wanting to be adopted and a gay couple decided to adopt him. Four years later, he spoke so highly of his two dads, saying that they were "very very loving parents" and "have helped me a lot."

So, you see, gays can be GREAT parents. I cannot stand homophobes who think gays aren't suitable to be parents.

I absolutely agree.

Agree.

What the difference does it make whether they are gay or not as long as they can provide the child the love, attention, and shelter they need?

Here in NJ are seeking for gay or lesbian couples to adopt or foster children from DYFS (DIv of Youth and Family Services) .. My partner of 16 years and I adopted an African-American child . We fostered her since she was 3 weeks old and finally became her official parents two years ago.

check out the link below to see if your state is one of the several states that allow gay / lesbian couples to foster / adopt.

I want to say that my last foster family that I was with, (before I turned 18), both parents are gay. They did very good with me and took very good care of me. They also have two very beautiful children of their own, a boy and a girl.

So, yes, gay people do make excellent parents.

Amazing isn't it? All these people that are biologically having children that they aren't ready for financially, mentally, emotionally, physically, and nobody thinks twice. You get a great loving couple in a committed relationship (or even single parents!) who WANT children, who are ready for children..and they aren't allowed. It's terrible.

Very true. What a sad situation.
