If anyone own a Acer Aspire laptops with built in webcam. I would like to know how's the quality of your model of Acer because my Acer Aspire 1551 webcam is crappy. It only works smoothly on bright daylight but when it's in the house during night with tabletop lamp or kitchen lights which are bright enough for webcam. It gets choppy or even worst. My logitech Vision Pro works flawlessly even in low light. I am looking for Acer internal webcam that works smoothly even with low light. It's basically an USB UVC webcam itself.
If I find one, I would hack and mod it. Because basically the connectors are exact same as any Acer webcams and I only need to swap out to different camera and install its driver that suit with it.
I just simply am tired of lugging external webcam for videochat ect. Just want to use internal one with high quality video in low light.
I wish developer from Acer should pay more attention to quality of webcam for laptop so they can get more $$$'s from anyone who prefer one that can work well under low light.
