Sadly this is the case. Prank calls through relay are rampant, and its spreading. Kids actually think it is funny just because we have to read verbatim. I've gone off on several people I know who have fessed up to doing this. It really is sad when someone thinks it is funny to make someone else's job difficult and openly insult them through at the place of work, that is not even meant for them.

Any ideas what we can do to stop this scams? Register our names/phone nbr/ip nbr at the local phone company/relay center? That would stop the scammers from calling the relay. The operator can tell them to register their name/phone nbr and if they are just playing, they won't go and register. Do you like that idea? If not, let's discuss it and find a good solution.

Use VRS more often. Prankster won't be able to use VRS at all.
