As I went to the interview at 11am while my fiance had an eye doctor's appt at 9:30 this morning. Let me take that back..

I told my fiance that everytime I get a job.. something happens... I mean EVERYTIME!!!!

okay.. back to the subject...

I had a feeling that I was going to have a good day but my gut feeling says something else. Well, I've been gone all day long and came home around 7:30 pm, I saw my fiance's truck parked but looked funny cuz that's not how he parked his truck.. I come in to give him a kiss.. he seems so down and I said what? What??? what's wrong??? he said "my truck" I was like.. OHHH I KNEW IT!!! First thing came to mind was he had a wreck. He said sort of. I was totally freakin' out.

I walked outside and looked around the truck which I missed. He showed me with a flashlight. It was scary when he explained to me.

He said when he was leaving the eye doctor's office, he felt his truck kinda wobbling, he assumed it needed balance. Then he turns left toward the service road going to the Parkway (main road) his front driver's side tire flew off. So he parks the truck and runs for the tire (it was rolling down the service road).. he gets it and comes back.. he realize that the bolts, all of them, are gone. It damaged pretty much on the tire, rotor, fender and body by the door. He was pretty upset. I was thinking.. and told him.. You know what?? I think someone did that loosen all the bolts.

I got scared and said.. "who would do this?????"

I told him.. As long as he's okay.. not hurt.. that's all that matters and we'll worry about the truck tomorrow. Well.. he was soo down.. sooo quiet.. I'm feeling helpless.

I'll put one pix in here. but it doesn't show the back tire.. the back tire is cut badly, the back rim is scraped badly.

That tells me... I JINXED IT!!! I told him that I had a bad feeling. It came true. :ugh:

We got the mechanic to put the tire back so we can bring it home.. the cap is badly damaged too.

see the corner of the fender is damaged.. the rim is damaged

That's the cap that was suppose to be in the center

Geez, I hope your fiance's car wasn't damaged with malicious intent.

But I'm glad to hear he's okay.

I am glad he's ok.. I have the same thing with you.. feeling something isnt right.. and it came true or happened..

For the tires .. suppose to check every three months to tight bolts..

WHOA! I am glad that your fiance is ok! Whew...I hope you get them for repair soon! Whoever did that to you is very IDIOT and IMMATURE!!! UGH! I would be very PISSED off, too!

It seems somebody is jealous of your fiance because he has you and the another guy has to resort to coward and immature tactics.

I highly doubt anyone did anything to your tires. If they are not properly checked and tighted as necessary every 3 months, the chance of them FLYING OFF while DRIVING increases. The lugs naturally loosen while driving.

Do not blame someone else -- if they were really loosened by someone else, you would notice the wobbling immediately, not while driving some distance.

I am sorry to hear about what happened, but I'm glad that he is okay!!!

yes I agreed.. since all my life of driving cars.. 2 of my cars just are like that.. tire flew off.. because the nuts came loose.. thats why the best bet to check your tires every 3 months.. the mileages you drove.. it comes loose very little.. the very little becomes real loose.. the tire flies off.. its real dangerous.. one of my cousin, got badly injury from someone else's tire flew off and it acrossed other side of hwy, came to her, she said she felt like head on collision.. the tire could go anywhere..

be careful! :)

Oh boy, I'm so glad to hear your fiance is okay, that's must be scary thing to go thru....

I hope it doesn't happen again....

That could be but why on the day she went for a job interview and the jealous person does not want her hurt. It is not in his best interests to have her hurt and have the guy he is angry at be hurt while keeping the girl safe. I never have checked my tires except for air pressure and drove the same car for almost close to maybe 2 or 3 years. I did get the tires rotated though.

My mom's car of tire was flat tire and didnt realized it was bit flat and drive somewhere till my ex boyfriend saw her car of tire was going to flat then tell my mom look at your tire then my mom got out of the car and look at her tire then my mom said " Oh, SHIT!" then zoom to gas station to pump it up now her tire fine now :) .. lucky her if she didnt pump it up then it would be dangerous

Oh dear, I´m sorry to hear about your fiancee but I´m glad that he´s okay.

Gosh! Glad your fiance is okay. Whew!

I almost had a car accident yesterday but lucky. It was just a close call. Whew. I was not having a good day and there I was. Whew!

I have the feelings too, when something is not right or feels funny. I feel the same way.

Hope everything is okay for you and your fiance.

I agree with Dennis-- the vibrations would naturally loosen up the bolts.
When was the last time his truck has been taken to the shop -- to replace a tire or something?

A lot of car shops forgot to tighten the tires. One of my friends' Jeep lost its wheel while being on a freeway because the lugs weren't attached *fortunately there were no damage to his Jeep or tire-- it just ROLLED OFF!! The shop did the tightening job for free with a discount for next visit for the Jeep's tires-- but my friend didn't go back to that shop !* I have heard PLENTY of stories where the car shop didn't tighten it enough, forgot about it all, et cetera. But never anything near dangerous as your boyfriend;s truck went through!

:-(

You may be right.. that was just another possibility. My fiance said it was fine driving from home to the eye dr, but when he left the eye dr, it suddenly felt funny.

the day before that happened.. my car alarm went off and my neighbor came to tell me it was going off.. I was like.. okay so i looked around my car.. found nothing wrong. its a coincidence. but you're probably right about being loose and haven't check to make sure it was tightened. I'm more of hoping that that's what it was instead of someone else doing it.
