I am not sure if this happens to you all but it makes me giggle when I think about it.
The other night I went out with my friends and I had a few drinks. When I got home, I came to my room, closed the door and I lock it so my roommate doesn't bother me. ( I can't hear her trying to get in so I just lock it,lol) But that night I had my friend stay the night as well.
Apparently I was still awake but I took my HA's out and my friend was trying to get into my room.
She starts raising her voice and says to me "I need to come in and get my socks."
Of course I can't hear exactly what she is saying. A.) I had been drinking and B.) I didn't have my aids on.
I automatically assume she is saying "I want to come in and TALK"
So of course i start shouting back, "I DONT WANNA TALK GO AWAY!" LOL
I guess it went on for about 5 minutes before she gave up and went back downstairs. She told me this the next day because I didn't remember but I think about it and I giggle. LOL

i can't count the number of times i've been unable to hear what someone has said to me (pre-ci). i wish i could think of a few examples to share with you because some of them were hilarious.
