Hey hockey fans.. the 2007-08 NHL season will start soon as training camps will open on Sept 10 I believe for all teams..preseason games will start 4 or 5 days after training camps open and the Anaheim Ducks, defending Stanley Cup Champions, will meet the Los Angeles Kings in London, England on Sept 29 and 30 to open the NHL season over there... the rest will be on Oct 3th for the season openers in cities....

Will the Ducks repeat as Stanley Cup champs for the first time since 1996-97 and 1997-98 when Detroit won 2 Cups in a row?? The Ducks do have a good chance to repeat unless someone surprises them and kick them off the throne... any guesses?? I gonna be a homer and say Ottawa Senators for the 2008 Stanley Cup... maybe Calgary Flames or Vancouver Canucks... hehe...

Wait and see on Ducks' back to back due Teemeu Selanne and Scott Niedermayer are thinking to hang their skates up.

My fan, Bruins might be lucky to clinch final playoff spot this year?.

Hey folks.. if ya are into hockey jerseys.. there is a jersey grid of all NHL teams and their new jersey looks that was made available for viewing in the last few months.. keep in mind there are some teams that have yet to make their new jerseys ready for viewing and etc.. I have been to a sports forum where there is a massive topic on the discussion of new jerseys and some of them are, should I say whoooaaaa dang harsh, and some are really sharp looking... and some frank comment and suggestions about what the jerseys should really have been modified with etc to look way better than that now...

here the link..enjoy!! The NHL In 2007-08 and bookmark that so if ya need to look at jerseys again and see what there.. ya can click there and check out once again.. I have gone to this site often enough to see the NHL jerseys... and new updates and etc...

OK the 2007/08 NHL season will open today... the defending Stanley Cup champions, Anaheim Ducks will play the Los Angeles Kings in 2 games starting in London, England with one game for today and 1 game for tomorrow.. I'm all amped up to see the games on tv.. hehe... the rest of the NHL will open on Oct 3... onto the race to crown the 2008 Stanley Cup champions!

OH LOL Ocean... if the Ducks did that..they gonna run into one big problem... the Boston Bruins... I dont think the Bruins will allow that.. but the Ducks could move to nearby Hartford... or Foxboro or so... I dunno, Hartford might be offlimit due to the promixity of Boston, New York City and others.. hmm.. still, good idea anyways.. hahaha...

:giggle: I am kidding about the Boston move however; not a bad idea to go to Foxboro then they would be home sweet home along with the Patriots *chuckles* for the Ducks, "More than a feeling* song by the classic rock band Boston which was played when the won the Stanley Cup and "Smokin" for my Patriots (my idea) woohooo looks like I need to relocate :laugh2:

I sure hope the Ducks do well on their next game. They still champs!

Ocean..the Ducks will bounce back.. but anything can happen... and they gotta be smart about their taking dumb penalties and etc.... that why Anaheim lost on Friday to Edmonton 5-1.. ohh..

I just might drive over to Honda Center and have word with the Ducks:laugh2:

:giggle: I will be the one that's ornery.

Hahaha funny one

Last night , I found out the Ducks finally won a game!!:dance2::dance2: They played the Honda Center vs. SJ Sharks. I guess giving my piece mind worked after Friday night when I said, "shape up or ship out" when I passed the Honda Center :laugh2: I am kidding here

I find NHL very boring right after the NHL strikeout.
I miss old Soviet players, who played for NHL, because nobody is playing better than Fetisov, Bure, Fedorov, Kovalev, Mogilny, Datsuyk, and Tretiak.
Sometime I enjoy going to Verizon Center to watch Alexander Ovechkin to play.

LOL Ocean.. good work... now see if the Ducks continue on winning or go back to their bad quacking..hahahah

Well, authentic ya cant have both worlds of all... sure the first generation of Soviet players came over to play in the NHL, they sure paved the way for the next generations of Russian players to come over and play in the NHL .. .like Ovechkin, Pavel Datsyuk, Ilya Kovalchuk, and more to entertain us for years to come...

As for the boring style of the NHL play, that is the case in the USA (southern part) but the rest of the USA along with Canada fans are happy and excited to see hockey playing and more... one thing that was brought over from the international hockey community was the shootout (used in the Olympics) which I thought at first was a bad idea but it has warmed me over to that.. the shootout is perfect for breaking ties in the regular season but that wont even be used in the playoffs as we prefer long overtime sessions to keep us on the edges of our couchs rooting hard... that what I want to see leave as is for the playoffs.... I'm sorry ya dont see the NHL as exciting as I do, as I have been watching NHL hockey since 1987 on tv (7 of them I have gone to see in person at arenas) and I do enjoy watching games on tv for both NHL, junior hockey and international hockey competitions such as the popular Christmas tourny the World Junior Hockey championships for juniors under the 20 age group which I have see my beloved Team Canada win gold medals (they are currently the 4 time defending WJC champs as they have won from 2005, 2006, 2007 and now 2008)... it's great to see international hockey all over and see how my Canadian players do well enough or so!
