ahem,
that rod, looks to be a 'wild bunch' /doorslammer they alternatively call it class, indeed it can be worth $100,000...you see...
it would likely to be fully certified, for safety, and engineering, look at the wheelie bars, look att the back wheels, its fat fenders, it's not going to have much boot room (or none at all)...Chevelles were the badest loudest early 70's Chevys there was, louder than Camaros, im not sure but 454? or a 455...not sure, those engines especially the 'specials' AND worked on, aren't going to be especially cheap and plenty,,, sure you can get a 427 or 350 or make a 383 without too much trouble (383 is actually quite hard to do it right, most of 383s have problems because it not just simple matter of chucking in a 400 crank in a 350, you need to blueprint everything else, conrods, pistons got to weighed , polished to be all even so its gets to the closest to paper-design...
maybe 80k, probably not, but he's not stupid, think of all the labor to replace to get the exact same car BACK...
so i wouldn't go off blathering like a pretend know it all to say he's a ripp off artist just because it Looks a common 70's car...its an iconic car, in similar scale to a Cuda...(same era or the Road Runner Plymonth, especially Superbird.... try see how much they fetch for now....!!)
