I don't sign at all and have been in situations where I needed it. I am oral only and would (will) learn to sign when I have to. For now my CI allows me to function in the hearing world with spoken words 99% of the time. Best of luck to you!

I have a BTE processor and it allows the power needed. I think you are mistaken thinking that a body worn processor provides more power. Technology today makes the BTE as powerful as required. The convenience of not having wires running to a body processor is important to many people too...
