My "outer ear" and middle ear are damaged so regular hearing aids do not help. If I had a choice I would try that first! I have been HOH since I was 2 and am only now, at the age of 39, finding out from my new ENT what type of damage was done. I had a large cholesteatoma removed when I was 16...
