Isn't there some kind of hear gear you could wear to protect yourself? I ski, motorcycle, sail, skate and wear helmets.(get funny looks at times). I did give up water skiing tho. I haven't had problems since being implanted almost 6 yrs ago. I did need to refit after going bilateral.

I was told by my Audi that you need to be careful shaving the hair. You didn't want it too short as you could make a bristle effect. Too short makes the hair stiffer/bouncier much like a crew cut feels. This might make the magnet fall off easier as well. Also have you tried wig tape?
