We use the backgrounds as just that backgrounds. We use ProPresenter for the songs and for the sermon notes. Motion backgrounds look great behind words and aren't distracting at all. He randomly walks in front of the speakers while preaching.. Can't catch it in time.

It's more advanced than PowerPoint and works so much better. Especially for our setup. ProPresenter makes things much easier and adds so much more "coolness" to the presentation with the ability to change moving backgrounds on the go. Or the ability to use moving backgrounds in general. When...

I must be terribly uniformed having just gotten out of the scene. You've been out of the teen stage for how long? Things do change over time you know. I don't see how its all that different really. You need to have social skills to be sociable.

That just means they didn't have a good head on their shoulders. They hung out with the wrong crowd. They got caught up in drinking, smoking, drugs, what have you. That doesn't mean that i'm not sociable because I don't do some sort of substance.
