Right now I have the Smartlink SX with one FM receiver in one aid, which does not satisfy me regarding music and TV use. I'm eager to see what all of you have to say about the iCom. I have a Phonak Naida UP aids, so would like to find out if the iCom will be loud enough for me to hear music...

I wonder if I'm already updated? That's the problem when we don't have access to the equipment :( So far my new Naidas (received 3 weeks ago) have been ok, though it seems to default to the higher volume when I first turn it on, so have to lower the volume, as well as having issues with too...

If it is humid where you live, you definitely need one....I do too, at least one that is easy to dump my aids in...I can be lazy to the point that I won't take the time to unscrew the cap to put mine in the dri-aid jar.... :naughty:

I've had that situation before, usually because of too much moisture in the aid...

With what you paid for it, it sounds real good. I had been worried about systems with cords that connect wirelessly to my aids, as in the past they kinda sucked. I am intrigued with the iCom, as I want to have some sort of stereo setup so I can listen to music, which does help relieve...

It doesn't come with a remote finder, if that's what you're hoping for (just kidding, couldn't resist the temptation) I hope you can find it, I think it's a wonderful device to have in your hearing arsenal....

Hopefully they can find out why it's happening and fix it soon....going back and forth to the Audi is a big pain.....BTW, I tried to find out if getting fitting software is possible, so I could use the iCube and wirelessly fix my own problems...(I'm a computer tech....) :)

It seems weird that the aid is cutting off all the time......hope this isn't a persistent problem. How long have you had each aid before it cuts off?

Maybe your aid is in need of a firmware update. When did you get it? I had a spirited talk with the Phonak rep and told her about some of you having some difficulties. I just got my aids (Naida V UP) adjusted properly by a Phonak rep today, it's really working nice!! Maybe you need...

I tried out your suggestion. It does work!! The only problem, I think, is the background noise might interfere and I might have some noise discrimination issues. That will be another item I will address with my Phonak rep this Friday. Thanks!!

LOL....I hate that.....it makes you want to have your own equipment to adjust your own aids....That's one of the questions I'm going to ask my Phonak rep, because the iCube NaÃ*da Phonak - iCube can wirelessly control the iPFG fitting software without traditional equipment, just your own...

I will try this out...I think I simply have my system misconfigured...I can barely make out the beeps on my aids; on the FM+mic part, the audie configured it in the 4 beep part of the program, it seems to sound like 1 beep, then several fast beeps(I think) So you don't have a FM system to...

Also, you can also use the audio jack on your laptop to connect to only the FM without using the Bluetooth, the advatage of bluetooth is the wireless connectivity all around
