How to get my laptop to run faster.

As long as you don't do it on carpet.......static electricity is the death of RAM and other components in a computer. You will have DDR2 ram: Up to 1 GB of DDR2 533 MHz system memory, upgradeable to 2 GB using two soDIMM modules not a bad price here: Newegg.com - Computer...

How to get my laptop to run faster.

I have just responded from another thread, Nathan pretty much had stated what need to be done.....Vista does not run too good with only 512 MB of ram..... By the way, I still have a Acer Aspire just like yours (my kids use it) and yes, it was a bit slow with Vista, so I added another 1 GB...

    Google Chrome Browser?

click on Start, type msconfig in the "search programs and files" line, press enter, and click on the startup tab. You can disable all or part of what's in there and reboot. This will help stop programs from booting with Windows. There are some that need to start with Windows, such as...

    Google Chrome Browser?

You probably have too many programs running in memory, starting with Windows. If you are running with about 512 MB of memory and Vista basic, I can bet Zone Alarm could be holding it down, as well as other stuff in memory. I can't really tell without knowing what type of laptop you have...

    Phonak buys Advanced Bionics

I never had issues with mine either. The one time I had a failure was the Phonak ML10i FM receivers......but the Naida aids never failed on me yet. **knocking on wood**

    Phonak buys Advanced Bionics

I'm wondering if the "failure" of the Naida was because it included the Soundrecover feature. I suspect most folks may have had difficulties adapting to it, especially if this would be the first digital aid. I have no current issues with mine, only wishing I had the option to program them...

    The Naida saga continues...

well, it depends on how much I use the FM receivers. I normally get 13 days out of the 675 batteries, but if I use the FM extensively, it may drop a couple of days.....

    The Naida saga continues...

If they can't fix the aid properly soon, they should be replacing it with a new one....that's what happened with my Phonak receiver. Three times the charm (replacement)

    Another thread about...

The minimum is the 3-5 seconds before bootup (forgot the exact timing...) There are three settings in the adjustments, none are immediate bootup. You can minimize the bootup sound to where you would not be able to hear it......

    Another thread about...

There is a current update that can selectively remove the beeps you find offensive. I think the battery warning and startup beeps are the only ones that can not be silenced......

    Another thread about...

Unless you like this game, you can extend the time it takes before the hearing aids activate. There are two more settings besides the default, adding 5 or 9 seconds (think that's the time) to the time before startup....

    The Naida saga continues...

It should not cut in and out while voices and noise is still active.....not sure why that is happening. Maybe an email to Phonak HQ is in order, or another visit to your audi?

    The Naida saga continues...

I don't know if this will help the situation or not, as I know it's supposed to fix the SoundFlow situation (the old firmware allegedly broke my right FM receiver). I believe that the FM receivers shut down in 40?? seconds by default if there is no sound available to save on battery power...

    The Naida saga continues...

There may be a current update regarding FM and how it works in the SoundFlow program. I am waiting for my audi to update her iPFG software to version 2.5 so I can get my update.... Let me rephrase this...There is a current update :D

    Siemens Artis 2

And that's one of the reasons I like my Phonak Naida with ML10i FM receivers. These are integrated in the Niada. I also use the Smartlink SX. I don't really have many problems with it, maybe wishing I had the newer Smartlink+ .
