I can understand people without reading lips and my audiologist says with my hearing aides i have near close to perfect hearing (though I disagree, because i use closed captioning and won't watch videos on youtube without it.)

So ask him for one and ask him how he knows what level of hearing you have without an audiogram and ask him whether or not the ear infections could be making your hearing level fluxuate?

I think it was more for artistic expression than for showcasing ASL. Just my opinion though.

My parents said I did it and it disguised my hearing loss until I was 2. They found out I had a hearing loss because I didn't react when people said my name out of ear-shot. >.>

Yes, but not portable. I could use a computer instead of a TTY for the same thing.

Hello, I'm an undergraduate student at Gallaudet university. I'm hard of hearing (wear BTE hearing aids in both ears). I"m also nonverbal. Pleased to be here. I might like it here I think. Actually, I think I might just stick around!! :wave:

I don't really use video phones much. I am more a text based person.

Right now I have a sidekick 2008 but I'm unsure if I want to go for the new sidekick that's coming out. What's the best plan out there in your opinion? :hmm:
