I think you are talking about the program button. I have to click that in order to get T-Coil to work. I don't mind it. I have 4 channels I can set up. I only used 1 for the T-Coil. I don't really use the other channels much. As you can see with the image below, what each option does.

i agree, all silicone mold is the way to go. I also would suggest, skeleton ear molds. that's if you it doesn't cause you much feedback. I find I don't sweat as much in my ears with them over the full coverage ones.
