    What would you do if........

What would I do? I would mind my own business. It is their money, they are adults, buying those cards is not illegal. If they are addicted, and they want to stop, they can choose to get help for it.

Can you tell me what is wrong with this?

What do you mean, "wrong"?? The device, or the advertisement? Yeah, those prices are goofy...but, they are lumping many kinds of devices into those prices, not that one device specifically.... We've used devices similar to this in lighting control systems...

    Mystery of the Dodge Shadow....

    1) Go to your local Walmart and get a Slime tire pump....$15, it connects to your battery, and use it to inflate your tires. 2) Dude, that car is 23 years old....time to throw it in the recycle bin and get something else. Your car is worth maybe $500, and after you put $1000 of repairs into...

    Problems with heat and overheating

Yes, the Intrepid is FWD, but it also has a unique design: The engine is NOT transverse mounted like most FWD cars. When you open the hood, it looks like a RWD setup, but there is no driveshaft leaving the back of the trans, but it has two axles sticking out of the sides. All of this is crammed...

How many of you have sat on a train/bus with a person who smelled TERRIBLE?

Just think....100 years ago, everyone wore heavy clothing during the summer, and deodorant was not widely available....not to mention people took baths once a month. That reminds me...I better take my yearly shower soon....looks like mold growth on my left butt cheek....

Grab it, you can always work there while waiting for a better opportunity. Hopefully your car is fixed well enough to commute? Haven't seen any updates about it down below yet...

A Motorcycle Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

Co-worker of mine has a '96 Monster like the one above. Small frame makes it a good starter bike, but, it has way too much horsepower for a beginner. He got it up to 140MPH just merging on the highway. Great bikes to ride, and great to work on if you love spending weeks fixing it....they...

When setting up a brand-new printer on a Windows 8 laptop......

Ding, ding, we have a winner. Most printer manufacturers get enough complaints about things like that and offer updated drivers. Sometimes you have to get creative in your search. And, just like Ambrosia, sometimes getting the damned document to move on from the queue's buffer is the most...

    What did you learn today?

The marriage counselor told me that I need to stop being polite to everyone, especially when I don't want to. I need to practice telling people to go f*ck themselves more often. Who shall I start with....:hmm:

What do you do when hearing people ask you rude questions?

Let me ask you this: What kind of people usually ask the rude questions? In my 40+ years of dealing with this, people from low-income, blue-collar community type backgrounds usually are the ones asking questions like that. I lived in such a community for many years. After moving to more...

FBI can hack into your webcam and watch you

I would take it as a big compliment if someone wanted to hack into my laptop to catch a glimpse of me naked......

A Motorcycle Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

Engine displacement does not necessarily make a bike faster or slower, or whether it is a good starter bike or not. Honda makes a 250cc that is a lot faster and has a higher top speed than a 1100cc Shadow. Aprilia makes a 250cc sportbike that will do 180mph. A bike's weight and overall...

I have a young family memeber

Using hands to communicate doesn't cost much. Pen & paper are cheap. Both of you could sit in front of a computer and share a keyboard, using software to convert what you type to speech, but that would be kind of ridiculous.....

A Motorcycle Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

The Buell started out as a cool small bike for beginners or very short people....but, like all Buells, they had potential, but since Harley-Davidson had Erik Buell on a very short leash, he was forced to use Harley's parts bin only and had a limited budget, so the Buell Blast turned out to be a...

    Problems with heat and overheating

Amber: When you get heat only when the car is moving, it usually means there is no water flow to your heater core inside the car unless your engine is revving fast enough to get water flow......which means your water pump is suspect. Too bad you live far away from me....you could bring it...

What are you thinking about? Part VI

Ahh...too bad you are moving further away....there goes my chance to meet you one day while driving to Georgia....:( Still, being near family, especially supportive family, does make life a little easier.

It is actually 33" tall. Folks with short inseams would benefit from replacing the dog bones with shorter ones. I wear pants with 32" inseam lengths, and here is a pic of me on the bike last weekend. The balls of my feet barely touch the ground.

A Motorcycle Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

FYI, Pete's Cycles of Baltimore, MD has a brand-new 2011 650ABS leftover in stock, same color as mine, for $6200 total before t/t/t. You probably would spend about $2K on accessories & mods to make it lower & comfy...total is still a lot less than others. Checked out a new Triumph Tiger...
