Every time I went to the hospital, there was always people in their 50-60's there. I've never seen anyone my age there, or even kids there yet. I will have to ask if they have a CI group going on or see about putting one together. :)

Yeah, I remember Ryan White & hearing abou this story while I was in like junior high. It broke my heart hearing how he was being treated at his school & stuff. I also saw the Ryan White story when they made it into a movie with Scott Baio. I'd watch it again if it was ever on TV again.

Only time I struggle with background noise is when I'm in the car or driving, especially when I'm on the freeway. So freaking loud! But other than that, you will learn to tune out background noise as you listen - I mean look at me, the CI helps me hear so much better now so background noises...
