Deflord, From one CI lover to you....the doctors are telling you the truth about the way things will sound.....do not be surprised if you only hear a click for a day or to....your brain is now getting 22 or more channels of sound going to it and it has to figure out what to do with them...

I received my CI when I was 38 years old, for me it was the best decision I ever made. Now the CI is not perfect...but it is so much better then BTE aid I had. BTW I am deaf in both ears. Now I will say that it was rough going for a while until I got the CI mapped right....sounds sort of...

Glynn....you may want to consider a clock that can do more then one thing....like alert you to Phone, Doorbell and child crying ... So please do check out the Sonic Alert site ...to get some Ideas as to what you can buy.... Hope this helps

A heavy duty vibrator that goes between the mattress and box spring is your best bet...your pillow can end up in the floor and then you over sleep... I have had problems with the hockey pucks....not working after a few months....so I am now buying a Sonic Alert SB1000...to try.... A Tip...
