There is a reason they give it to you. I took them for the first 5 days. It allows your body to heal so you do not have to focus on that pain. it also let me sleep some. The bilateral was so hard to get comfortable and I didn't sleep for days.

Good luck. I understand the problems with insurance. I had to fight my insurance for a year for bilateral cochlear implants. So one year later, I had my surgery and it has been the best decision I have ever made. Enjoy the journey

3 weeks for activation and I was back at work in 5 days. Every one is different.

I support cochlear implants. I also support families rights to make the choice for or against cochlear implants. I support the choice in communication choices.
