But if they want a service dog they can apply to get one and that's ok. At the end of the day a service dog not also provide a service but a companionship too.

That's your opinion and I respect that but for some people there's nothing like a dog's company, and that deserves respect too.

I'm deaf and CI user and I don't feel inferior at all.... Too bad for those who feels that way...

My dog is not trained also to be a service dog, he helps me when I'm home alone and I'm not wearing my CI. I feel secure with him because he point to me where the sound is coming from... And he also knows the difference between doorbell, phone ringing, house alarm, etc.... I reward him every...

I like your point of view! I think having a service dog depends on the person who wants to apply or no to get one...

But sometimes the hearings aids/CIs are not enough in noisy environments, I get lost in those situations and it's more difficult for people who only has one hearing device...
