I don't see why it should matter. I mean really speaking is just one of many forms of communication. I know some people that speak plenty and I'm still like "I have no clue what your saying"

One friend definitely drives blaring her ipod with earbuds. I'm pretty sure since I can hear the lyrics of her music quite clearly and I have to poke her to get her attention, hearing is not important.

For me, most bottled water and tap water taste a like i.e. like chemicals. I just use tap. Distilled is good though.

I use liquid soap. A big thing of Bronners. It's really concentrated and I've had it for about six months. I use it for washing most of me. The only other thing I use is toothpaste.
