We don't watch so-called reality TV at all. BLECCH! YUCK! LOL! I hate that many shows are now that sort. Must be cheaper to produce or something for the networks in this lousy economy. :| Good thing we can rent movies or get them free at the library, and we like to read! :P

I have confidential email through my health insurance as well, and can email back & forth with my doctors. Saves a copay fee for an appt., too! For some appts., I can also make those online which helps not to have to deal with the health insurance telephone "gauntlet."

When commercials come on, I usually mute the TV and play games on my cell phone until my show comes back on. :D

Feeling good today. Not much pain. Daughter is here and making peach cobbler. Hubby is BBQ-ing chicken. Fresh corn on the cob. Movie. Wine. All 'round good day so far! :D

I agree it's a disability in *some* situations and eliminates one form certain occupations/activities. But I think the key is to *adapt* and find ways to pursue our dreams and goals at the same time. Just because of being Deaf or HOH doesn't mean we should just give and stay home and never go...

Thinking how life comes in waves...of worry, anxiety, then relief and calm and happiness. On all levels: body, mind and spirit. Riding the waves and staying in one piece is the hard part. But I work on it. :hmm:

No bashing here... As a HOH person wearing two hearing aids, I get that crappy treatment, too. :o As soon as I ask for repetition, or speak up or face me, etc. I really hate to waste my time on jerks. Sometimes we have to. I try to educate but some people are just obtuse. :|
