She has been doing a little better with her sleep. I have changed her med schedule around a bit and that has helped. Her eating more I think has helped. Seems a combination of a few things have made a difference. Thanks for all of the suggestions. They were all much appreciated.

Activation went great. Ashley did so well. We are so proud of her. She gave some very good responses. So far she leaves the new coil on too. Thanks for the encouragement.

We found out that a rep from Med-El is supposed to be at Ashley's activation. We had a scare the other day. Her old coil accidentally made it to the new implant. I found out the hard way that it will talk to the new implant as well as the old one. She got 100% full volume in her new ear. OUCH...

I wish Ashley was interested in TV. She will not stay in one place long enough to see more than 2 or 3 minutes at a time. We have tried music too. Seems to be leveling off this week. She has been sleeping some better when she naps early or even just takes a nap. The shorter the nap the better...

Cool. Thanks. She seems to sleep better if she naps early or at all. Things have not been so bad this week. She has been going to sleep with a full tummy too. I am sure that helps.

I will ask about that med with her doc. Thank you !! That sounds exactly like Ashley's sleep cycle too. She only sleeps for 4 to 5 hours at a time. I never get any rest or good rest any way. If you don't mind me asking how old is your son?

It seems to take the edge off but not enough to make her want to sleep. She seems to absorb meds so fast. She bounces off the walls no matter what she has. One of those terrible 2 things maybe.

She is a sleep fighter. She will jump up and wake herself if she feels she is falling asleep. She is too busy for sleep so she thinks. It has gotten a little better. No too bad any way. One of those things she will have to work through.
