    WWIII...hmmmmm

Iraq is a real issue and it's not going to go away. The Government isn't strong enough to hold the country together - even Saddam Hussain had problems. I have a couple of friends out in Iraq working as security on the oil terminals, and they say it's worse than anything they ever had to deal...

What are you doing right now?

I think that'd be a very good idea! I think if the car hadn't had been invented until the present day, no-one would be allowed to drive one... Two-tonnes of steel capable of travelling at upto 300kph?? And we have how many million of them? I may just sell my car and buy a cow and...

What are you doing right now?

Well, I reported it, and so did the Mom - this means that police will do a search for the car involved and hopefully do and knock on a door or two. My wife works for the Police in the prosecutions department, so she'll know if anything happens (and promptly get taken off any resulting case due...

    WWIII...hmmmmm

What we're seeing now ( and ever since the end of WWII really ) is a lot of little proxy wars, the Nuclear club in the Cold War era, and superpower-funded terrorism ( the ongoing Iraq/Palestine/Afghanistan/etc issues ) What was a real game changer was 9/11. Force Projection means nothing when...

What are you doing right now?

I'm having a glass of wine and calming down. I witnessed a road rage incident earlier in which a young mother and her kids were verbally abused by an aggressive driver who believed she wouldnt let him overtake her. I got out of my car and told the aggressive driver to leave her alone...

    Facebook Messenger

I downloaded the Messenger App, then realised it was taking over my fone - especially with that floating bubble thing. Needless to say, it soon got uninstalled. I ended up deleting all of the FB updates and restoring it to the factory version - no annoying adverts!

Watch What Happens After a Passenger Gets Stuck While Boarding a Train

Right here in Perth! I'm glad this made international news, there's not much happens here anyway, and it's nice to see something good occasionaly! ( As an aside, it's lucky he was travelling on the Stirling Line, if he was on the Armadale line, they would have just nicked his phone and left...

    Sports related injuries

Three broken toes and elbows that ache something chronic in the cold from full-contact Karate and my knees aren't so good from when I used to play rugby years ago. Oh, regarding Rugby, I managed to get knocked-out once during a very very bad tackle. I think I was lucky, the other guy ended up...

New MAD MAX film coming up in 2015 !!!

I have my reservations about this..... ok, they didnt film it in Australia, which I can live with - but they trashed the XB again??? On the plus side, Tom Hardy is usually very watchable...... I know it's never going to be as good as the first 2 films, but I'll find out...

    K&n

Straight pipes on a Rover V8 :) The neighbours would have loved me!!! Me and a couple of friends did rally a vehicle once with a straight-through exhaust, it was a military Landrover 101 with the body removed and the seat and roll cage set further back plus a few other modifications. It was...

    K&n

Glad that K&N honoured their warranty! I used to run their filters on my V8 Range-Rover back in the UK, never noticed any power increase (I had 190bhp to play with anyway so I don't think I'd notice an extra one or two!) but the SWOOOOOSH of the induction was like music to my ears :)

Should Cats or Dogs Sleep in Bed with You?

We always put our 10 month old Greyhound puppy to sleep on the floor in our bedroom, but as soon as we're asleep ( or she thinks we're asleep!) she climbs on the end of the bed and snoozes there! My wife doesnt mind much, but I think we'll have to insist she sleeps on the floor, when we get...

    Favorite Online Shopping Sites

I used to like Amazon, but the shipping costs to here knock out any savings I might make on the actual item... For books I use BookDepository.com Free Shipping to Australia is always a winner in my book :) I've used Cafepress when getting stickers and posters made up, they're good but again...

Share your best and worst transportation stories!!

My wife has a suggestion for a Transportation Story.... Worst one ever? We'll see... Her maternal great-great-great-great grandfather spent 89 days in chains aboard a Convict ship on route to Western Australia in 1868. It wasn't a bad voyage - only one person died..... Apparently it was...

Lifespan of a dog: A dog years chart by breed

My Afghan Hound back in the UK lived until he was 15, he just fell asleep one night and didn't wake up - Although I lost my Father to cancer a few months before and the dog was always very close to him and missed him very much. I like to think they went to the same place :) Our Greyhound...
