Man wanted in trooper ambush is captured

He did very well to live that long. To survive two weeks on the run whilst being hunted by every man and his dog is no mean feat. If I was him I would have saved a bullet for myself. I expect he'll get life imprisonment or the chair - and rightly so.

What Books Have You Recently Purchased?

"Starship Troopers" by Robert Heinlein. Not so much a Military Sci-Fi Novel, more a collection of dialogues on the nature of warfare. People comment on its fascist leanings, but I think if you've served or been part of the military machine you'll understand.

We Turn Our Clocks Back This Weekend

Over here Down Under in Western Australia, we successfully voted against Daylight Saving some years ago. All this means is that we get to say " Faaark its hot" at 6am instead of 7am :)

    Stealerships

Car Dealers annoy me sometimes, especially New Car ones. My Wife bought a 2015 Suzuki Swift GL last week, and the hassle we had collecting it was terrible. We don't blame the Salesman for trying to sell us all the optional extras under the sun - after all his commission on a base-model car...

    Scots want independence

I am a British Citizen. I am 1/2 English, 1/4 Republican Irish, and 1/4 Indian Punjabi Sikh Yes, that could make me pretty much anything, but I am English, in my heart and in my soul. We fought the Argentines over the Falklands Islands because they, as British Citizens requested our help...

Ted 2 coming in 2015.Cant wait!

I'd like to see this. Although I think a lot of the jokes in the 1st film would have worked alot better if it was a cartoon though.. But much points for recognition of Flash Gordon!

    Another British man beheaded :(

This chap wasn't even a Soldier. He was a british volunteer aid worker delivering supplies along with his muslim companions. I've worked as a defence contractor in the past, and I know what risks people take, but no-one deserves this. Even Al-Qaeda wants nothing to do with ISIS...... I...

1,000GB a month???!!!! Wow.... I can only dream of that! I get 20gb a month on wireless internet (A$80), and my phone has 8gb. I'll move to a fixed landline soon... What I'd do with 1,000gb a month :)

    Skyrim Vs. Oblivion

There's always been thousands of mods for Skyrim ( and Oblivion & Morrowind for that matter ), I've yet to try SKYUI yet, but might give it a go soon. I can't wait for them to finish Skywind, but it's a massive massive project. I loved playing Morrowind, cos unlike the later ES games it...

What was the last movie you watched?

I watched "The Raid 2" on DVD last night, Really good film, but some of the violence was absolutely brutal. I don't mind a good Martial-Arts film, but some scenes in the film surprised even me..

What Are You Reading Right now?

Most of Clive Barkers work is excellent. I'm reading "Soldiers of Fortune" by Tony Geraghty. It's about the rise of the paid Mercenary into the role of the "deniable" Private Security Operative as used by organisations such as Halliburton, Blackwater, SERCO etc....very very interesting if...
