Yes we can, but I can't hear another persons heartbeat unless I lay my head against them with my one of my ears pressed against their chest or back...if the person talks while you are listening to their heartbeat, the sound of their voice will overpower the sound of their heartbeat. That is why...

No, I don't think so...there are some hearing people who are hostile to people regardless if hearing, deaf, blind, wheelchair bound or other...they are truly equal opportunity hostile people.

You can also drive up to the window and place your order directly with the cashier. I do that if the microphone is not working or when I am mad after they have messed up my order for the thousandth time.
