Does AT&T have a discount on Data Plan for deaf? Such as not requiring voice mail and calls since us deaf folks can't hear.

    Dear AT&T

I don't like AT&T either, but I'm stuck with them on a two year contract too. I didn't look at their fees close enough when I signed on. We were with T-Mobile for 10 years and didn't like their coverage range at all. AT&T practically charges for the air you breathe. They push their small...

    Everything about iPhone

I waited two years to get my current iPhone 3G and happy with it so far. No problem waiting another year or so when the bugs are all worked out and price comes down. I NEVER buy the latest & greatest. Notebooks sometimes, not phones.

Flashing Display until text is answered! Now I know why they jail-break iPhones!

Found another reason for a jailbreak. I wanted to have a battery meter and Apple was too stupid not to include one. This works great: http://www.redmondpie.com/enable-iphone-3gs-battery-percentage-on-iphone-3g-and-iphone-2g-9140073/

That's the one. I made a separate post on that so it wouldn't get buried. Are there any other ones out there?

Flashing Display until text is answered! Now I know why they jail-break iPhones!

I'm legally deaf and can't hear phones, so I use these smart phones as PDA's, internet, texting and email. When I had my Blackberry & Blackjack, there were apps or programs you could buy that would turn the screen on when you get a text mail. It would either have a blinking light or the screen...

    Everything about iPhone

Has anyone solved the vibration (getting it to vibration more than twice) and to get the display to light up at intervals until text/email is answered? I found a solution, but will post it separate as this one is so long and will get buried.

What cell phone you use and why?

Not true at all... if you get the right cell phone, (usually a smartphone) there is a LOT you can do, text mail, email, video conference, internet etc. Just like a small computer. With right smartphone, never miss a text or email with vibration & display that comes on off and on until...

Please move the post to the correct place then. I'm deaf... completely in right ear, 95% gone in left ear.

What cell phone you use and why?

Just curious what deaf people are using for phones and why. I notice several big name cell phones such as the iPhone don't really cater to deaf needs such as LED Alerts or back-lights that come on at intervals until you answer your text/email etc. I've used the Blackjack and Blackberry that...
