I waited two years to get my current iPhone 3G and happy with it so far. No problem waiting another year or so when the bugs are all worked out and price comes down. I NEVER buy the latest & greatest. Notebooks sometimes, not phones.

Has anyone solved the vibration (getting it to vibration more than twice) and to get the display to light up at intervals until text/email is answered? I found a solution, but will post it separate as this one is so long and will get buried.

Not true at all... if you get the right cell phone, (usually a smartphone) there is a LOT you can do, text mail, email, video conference, internet etc. Just like a small computer. With right smartphone, never miss a text or email with vibration & display that comes on off and on until...
