Oh Eyeth do you always have to DISAGREE?? :) But honestly it isn't a major surgery like a heart surgery or a transplant or anything like that. But agreed with the post above everyone has their own definition of major. At first I considered the CI a major surgery after I had it done, I...

I'm sorry Im rolling on the floor laughing at this one... First of all - you CAN scuba dive even with a CI. My dad has a CI and he scuba dives ALL the time. And I even asked my physician could I scuba dive - he said there is NO LIMIT what I CAN'T do if I have a CI. There is no effect...

Bernafon, Phonak, Oticon, Siemens or Starkey for CICs?

Stay away from Starkeys! They are the worst! I have used Phonak, Octicons, and Starkeys. Octicon and Phonak are wonderful. Starkey is horrible - I bought mine like a year and half ago and it is sitting on my desk right now. It has broken like 3 times since I bought it. There is another...

    A question about Cochlear Implants...

You know what.. I thought the same thing, I dumped my hearing aid as soon as I got the CI.. But I found I was getting better results with BOTH (Hearing aid and the CI) than I was just the CI by itself. So if you are having ur CI done opposite of your hearing aid ear - I'd keep it on. Believe...
