Well, I checked the Microsoft website that shows Media Player 10 is for XP only not 98, Me, 2000 and Media Player 11 is for XP and Vista. So, I guess I was right not wrong. :) Here's Media Player 10 system requirement info: Readme for Windows Media Player 10

Unfortunately, it doesn't support for 2000. Only it works up to Media Player version 9. Cannot go on 10 or 11. Hope I'm wrong! Sorry about that. :(
