Amplify means to make the sounds louder. If there is any residual hearing left the HA will amplify whatever hearing is left. A CI bypasses all that when there is no residual hearing and sends the sound straight to the auditory nerve

I know what you mean FelixKat, it was getting to me too. Everbody has an opinion, and some are pretty harsh and upsetting but we just have to ignore it, as hard as that may be but we just have to. It's your life and nobody here can say whats best for you but you. :)

Same thing with my daughter Cloggy, in the beginning no response but now i try to take it off her when i get her ready for bed but she won't let me take it off her. I have to wait until she falls asleep.
