That's a long time!!! FYI, you can order molds at LloydsHearingAids.com. They send you the impression kit, and you send it back. You get your molds in about a month from when you first place the order. So, a little faster.

Ron, I highly recommend getting a dry box. You can get them at CVS next to the hearing aid batteries for less than $5. You only have to replace every 6 months. I use this one in the bathroom, and is the one I had always used nightly in the past. My new Audi gave me a similar, yet different one...

If it's without your aids, I am thinking it's likely medical. Look into the PP's suggestion of Meniere's (sp?). An ENT can help you, or even a GP. Good luck :)

I had this problem when I first got my aids. How new are you to hearing aids? It took time for my brain to adjust.

I used ear gear on my old aids, they're awesome! Haven't put them on my Naidas yet, haven't needed to. I use a non-electric dry store at night and when I'm in the shower. My Audi says the electric ones usually aren't needed.

Yeah, it's tinnitus. I have it, worse when my aid is off or out. The other night I could swear it was raining outside, but when I looked, nothing. It was just in my head, lol.

Ron, you are getting to Naida S UP, correct? I have the V and my Audi put in the T-Coil program for phone use (one of my biggest issues). So you should be able to get that done, too. And then your hearing aid will automatically pick up the signal when you switch programs, correct? I'm going to...

Your Audi sounds dumb, lol. WHY would you give a practically deaf person anything but the most powerful aid?! That makes no sense...Good for you for sticking to your guns!

Yeah, my HA was $1800ish with my insurance discount. An FM system from Phonak, with my insurance discount, is over $2000! Crazy...

I agree you need to switch to the Naidas, your Audi is on crack. Also agree with NaidaUP, don't pay for the IX if you're only getting one. My Audi said I shouldn't even be able to tell the difference between the V and IX with only one aid. I got the V by the way.

I will be getting an FM system for my aids, for school. Talked with Audi and will be using the program that is FM plus microphone, because I will need to hear the students around me as well for discussions. Teacher will wear transmitter.

As an update to clear things up: I got the Naida S V UP, and it does work with the CROS. Don't have it yet, as that will be our last option, after CI and BAHA, but we got this aid so that it will work with the CROS if we need it to.

My avatar is very true-to-color to the actual aid on my screen. Not sure about your screen.

My loss is mixed. Pure tone results average 92dB, bone conduction averages 36dB.

My molds are purple with silver glitter. The purple isn't the same, but I have new molds that I get on Monday. Hoping they match better :)
