Glad they're doing better for you now! I have figured out using vaseline doesn't burn like Hydrocortizone does, so I'm using that instead. Still have the raw spot.

Just wanted to recommend a corded pair of Ear Gear. They are pretty much essential for babies wearing hearing aids, so that they can't be lost!
