27) Are you a Christian? What do you value?
28) What do you honestly think about cochlear impants?
29) What are you most proud of?
30) What do you do for an occupation? What's your dream job?
31) What do you think the future holds?
I'd be getting the answers to questions I need which would be nice but I'd rather prefer to see the person's face and communicate that way. I'm pretty sure that's what my teacher would want to. But if I have to make a list...
1) Your name what? (What's your name?)
2) You deaf? You hearing...
I understand what you're saying but I need to use my limited vocabulary in ASL to ask these questions. If I didn't do that, then I would gain the experience of communicating with a deaf person outside of class.
I am not trying to insult or offend any person here. And yes, I do know that I am blessed with being a hearing person and I do not take that for granted. I am blessed to have given the privilege of getting to know my deaf teacher, Tim, he is amazing! He has really showed me that there are great...
Please do not be offended in what I'm about to ask but in case my teacher's friend decides not to not accept my interview request, would anyone in here be interested and comfortable having me interview them?
If you do not feel comfortable being interviewed, then you may choose not to...
No they do not teach us how to use commas properly; it's kind of expected. And stop picking on me :) It's not my fault, I'm stupid :d Haha.
I always put a comma where I think it's necessary. My ideas tend to be incomplete sometimes.
JClarke, you're totally right! I should respect the ladies. I guess I inherited the douchebaggedness that the males from the University of Iowa have pressed upon me.
Sorry about being a disrespectful, douche bag. Please except my sincere apologies.
Thanks and have a wonderful night!
Samco and Blank Canvas, thank you for the warm welcomes as well! Fyi, Samco, I recently sat in at a marketing lecture where one of the TA's was telling us about their homeland (Seoul, Korea). Big, big population in a small space.
I'm doing alright. Just enjoying an ice, cold Miller Lite after a hard day's work!
Tell me more about yourself. Where are you from? Where do you you go to school? And what are some of your favorite hobbies?
That is so not cool to have your partner throw things at you and thanks for the advice DDD, it means a lot. There are a few people who take the class seriously but there is a handful that just don't care for it.
Like I've told Beachgirl and others in this forum, I know that I will...
As a HOH and an ASL 1 student, I believe there is still room for improvement. I think as long as you utilize your facial expressions and try your best to act out or sign what you want to say, deaf or HOH people will understand you because ASL in my opinion is about how one person expresses...
