    Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

What part of "the character that defines a movement matters" do you disagree with? By the way, if you want to see some substantive discussion on their grievances, here you go. Income inequality- This only matters if the economy is a zero-sum game (i.e. when one person gets rich, it means...

Is Michael Moore a Hypocrite and a Liar?

You don't have to keep everything in the stock market. There are other markets with various levels of risk and you can diversify. If we did that, we would see gains much greater than what we get from the current system. I'm actually expecting to receive a negative return on investment...

Is Michael Moore a Hypocrite and a Liar?

How about you? Are you more open to changing your mind upon thoughtful consideration of facts and logic, even when it's uncomfortable?

Is Michael Moore a Hypocrite and a Liar?

I suppose it's true there were rich people in the Soviet Union. They got all the nice cars, drove on the nice roads, and shopped in the nice grocery stores where normal people weren't allowed. There is no proposal out there to stop all government assistance. There is a proposal that would...

No, of course not, but Clinton was also accused of sexual harassment.

skeptic now says global warming real

"The bottom line is that there is a consensus...". Those are his actual words. The word "no" does not appear in that sentence.

    Another, "I didn't do it!"

That affair occurred during his second administration, but his approval ratings did go up. We'll see how this plays out. A lot of the information is vague at this point. I think there's more to come out and it could go either way. It will be entertaining to watch those who supported...

skeptic now says global warming real

It's inaccurate to say the guy used to be a skeptic. He said this in 2008: Author and physicist Richard A. Muller chats with Grist about getting science back in the White Hous | Grist Not exactly the words of a skeptic.

Obama toman convicted of DUI "This Bud's For You"

Hopefully, you can now see why we Americans don't take it too seriously when people from other countries say they laughed at us over the scandal.

Obama toman convicted of DUI "This Bud's For You"

Perjury is perjury. It doesn't matter how mundane the topic is. Even if I lied under oath about the color of my car or where I went shopping yesterday, that would be perjury. Details matter in court cases.

Obama toman convicted of DUI "This Bud's For You"

Doesn't matter who won and who lost. He was under oath. I would have been sent to prison for it. The Republicans had a majority but not a 2/3 supermajority. Also, I know it's picky, but he was in fact impeached. He was just not convicted.

He got busted lying about his sexual history in a sexual harassment suit while under oath. Hardy har har.

Obama toman convicted of DUI "This Bud's For You"

The Republican-led House has passed a budget along with a number of bills to deal with the debt crisis and the entitlement crisis. They've all stalled in the Democrat-led Senate. In fact, the Senate has gone over two years without even proposing a budget.

    Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

Oh, I know you weren't criticizing the Tea Parties. I think character and behavior do matter, and I disagree, with good justification, with your premise that this uncivilized behavior is just a few bad apples. I would not have aligned myself with the Tea Party if it were anything like this. I...

    Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

I don't think they were necessarily bought. They just believe as a matter of ideology that the government should intervene to create outcomes they prefer. Imagine someone saying "I don't think the government should be trying to help poor people and minorities buy homes more easily." Would...

    Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

Here's why I disagree with the protesters' solution even while I agree with them on the problem of crony capitalism. It was government that pressured banks into lowering lending standards. It was government that propped up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and encouraged them to buy risky mortgages...

    Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

Most of those older people with well-paid careers did not get there because of some government program, and for the few that did, it's usually from something like the GI bill, which is compensation for their own military service). As a young Tea Partier myself, I would say that I'm not...

    Faster than speed of light???!

I'm saying this is a possible explanation for the neutrinos appearing to travel faster than light. The universe is a very complex place because it have very complex systems, yet the basic laws running the place are simple. I would say the laws that he have yet to discover are probably...

    Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

Not anything goes. Did they provoke the police, block traffic, have sex in public, bang drums for weeks on end, or abuse the restrooms of nearby businesses? In fact, did they do anything objectionable? By the way, I'm sensitive to the argument that a whole movement should not be judged...
