Yeh, did they think of that??? When you go swimming, how do you get the water out - do you have to go to a Doctor to get it cleaned?? Ew, could you imagine how gross that would be? And it would proabably hurt to sleep on too. And plus, yr kids would think you are an alien. :eek:

Totally - it might be just a cosmetic thingy for people who dont want to look deaf - stoopid old people. An i agree, we could be bein tracked - they'll know our every move and use radio waves and satellittes to control our behaviour.... We'll become the walking zombies that the government...

and with the ear peice - i just dont know how you would hear anything with it...

I totally understand what yr saying, gnarly, it is one of the most hidden kinds of differences a person can have because no one really knows you are deaf until they try to communicate with you. I find it most frustrating when people dont know how to deal with it - they can get very emabarresed...

I have Bernafon ITE's they are analog, but then I also recently bought the very best Digital hearing aids, because i thought "Oh yeh, i want da best, ma bruva!" but they suck. Well, they dont suck, they just aren't that much better for how much you have to pay.. Like I had to pay over 8000...

Freaky, I too was born hearing, but then became HOH at age 11. I didnt start wearing Hearing Aids til I was 18. I tell you what though, im glad i never had to experience those huge Body Aids you guys have been talking about. I cant believe how awful they sound.. And they would have given me BAD...
