A Thread About Absolutely Nothing! Part III

I will be getting little booties with grippers on the bottom for Piper. They will protect from hot ground and with the liners, cold ground for after we move again. They do make cooling vest for dogs, but they are not always safe. When I walk with her I have to have a vest or a bandana on her...

How many of you have had bad experiences with OTC medicine?

My son had his had in a pile of his Legos and my daughter got mad because he would not let her play. They were 4 & 5. She stomped on the Legos and he let out with this massive yelping blood curdling scream. Got him to the ER and he had a boxer's fracture. Lego was just in the right spot to...

    Closed Threads

I know I requested for a thread of mine to be closed. Here recently I have regretted it as I know some people were enjoying seeing the progression of our garage conversion. Sad thing now, we still have finish work to be done, landscaping to be done, but in about 4-5 years, we are selling and...

    What did you learn today?

I learned that I misunderstood something that trainer said. She doesn't seem upset at all, but did answer while I was online. Finding out that my speech is getting a little harder to understand as well.

What are you thinking about Part VII

Thinking I may get out the fleece fabric, rotary cutter, board and ruler and make some fleece roes for the dog. Trainer has asked for a few as well.

    How is your weather today??

Hot, bright sun. No breeze. Weather reports advise us to stay inside if at all possible. Temps are in the upper 80's and pushing 90.

What are you doing right now?

Mom had 14.5 lbs baby girl

Nephew was 7 1/2 pounds at birth and only 19 inches. He is now 6'7 and skinny as a rail. His parents? My brother is 6'2 and my sis-in-law is 6'5. Their daughter is a "lowly" 5'9". She's very upset at being "short". My other brother is 6'3", his wife is 5'0" and their kids, both average 7-8...

Mom had 14.5 lbs baby girl

This picture was in 2008. Please do not mind hubby's greasy clothes, as he had done an oil change and cleaned the lawn mower for winter storage. Hubby is 6'5 here and the kids were 13 & 14 at the time.

Florida is 'Ground Zero' for sea level rise

That's part of why we are moving in a few years. Yeah, we went through a lot converting the garage, but now we are getting more and more info on the area and such and then with my medical needs, we are moving to a totally different area. Still near a coastline, so we will see.

    Jury Duty...

I got waived due to my hearing loss. At the time, they did not have CART services. Option were terps only. I do not know ASL well enough for it to help. I was called in for a meeting to prove to them I did not know or understand ASL and could not follow along. After about 30 minutes of back and...

Florida is 'Ground Zero' for sea level rise

I live about 10 miles in from the East coast. Already quite a chunk of the Island of Palm Beach has washed away and gone. There used to be a decent amount of space on the roadway for A1A or as I call it, the scenic beach run, but now, they've moved the seawall more and more inland that we don't...

Mom had 14.5 lbs baby girl

Here we go again! - I had 2 C-sections. Child one was 12 1/2 pounds and 24 1/2 inches, 2 weeks late. She is now 20 and is 6'4". Child two was 10 1/2 pounds and 22 1/2 inches and 2 weeks early. He is now 18 (19 next month) and is 6'3". Recovery from both was rough but not hard. With the 2nd, I...

    What did you learn today?

I just checked for a quote for the 5 of my family to go from FL to WA. Round trip, going from $2279 and up to $7207. Think we will just drive ourselves. We will be going up there in a few years to check things out before we move there.
