I got the same as hear again.I can't really remember having a choice of brands but i think i my audiologist said that cochlear was the best.I didn't have a problem with cochlear brand based on their past.

But you dont need 2 ears to hear,i have only been able to hear through one ear for over 20 years and being able to tell where sound come has barely if at all affected my life

you got 2 ears,it dont work in one you always got the other for later thats why i aint getting 2 c.i.'s

i have had c.i for 4 months and it's pretty good but varies in areas of sound.Speech is kinda dissapointing,environmental sounds are really good,music is very good with "clean" sounds-fuzzy rock sounds terrible,dance style instrumentals sound best,music with lyrics can be a bit of an overload of...

i dont know if you have this in USA but in oz we have a cell phone network called cdma and its supposed to be better for use with hearing aids than the gsm network, but i've never tried it though

yeah for the 1st month or so i thought that i was not going to be able to understand speech and all iwas ever going to hear was these pulsing sounds but it eventually worked out even though it could be better.Lucky i didn't have high expectations and buy into the hype

Yeah, actually i became deaf when i was 7 so that would be 1979,same year you was born.I became deaf from meningitis which come super close to killing me.bw hearings aids old would prob explain why i never heard of them
