My hearing loss is classified as "severe". Not sure what numbers to post on from the audiograms but that's the word everyone uses. For whatever reason, my word discrimination score varies wildly from 40% to 60% over time.

It's a different type of earmold that has a hollow chamber inside - it is supposed to enhance speech. It inserts a bit deeper in the ear canal to accomodate the chamber. I'll get more info when I see the audi next time. They were the same price as regular earmolds and I can switch to them...

How can you tell when the Naidas do that?

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate the info. I am wearing Phonak Exelia Ps, with hard earmolds. I am supposed to get a set of the Phonak Naida, but have not seen them. They were promised a week ago and I am still waiting..... I got the new tubes installed for just the tubing. Office...

Damn, all these years and I didn't know I could do this myself! How do I keep the tubes in the earmolds?

I don't have any friends who go to audiologists. My doctor runs a hearing aid dispensing firm, but their offices are very inconvenient for me. I was hoping there might be some ratings similar to Yelp or Urbanspoon...
