I want you to know that by my last post I am not seeking a ( poor me) response from anyone. I am simply stating how my situation affected me. Ofcourse this was many years ago and I have since seen things a bit different and have grown more into who I am as a deaf person because now I know it's...

That's the thing.. Born deaf do not see it as "Depression" because they never was able to experience the many many things I used to be able to. You don't seem to realise that I enjoyed listening to bird's Chirp or the sound of someone telling you " I LOVE YOU" sure it took me a long time to deal...

BRB I am searching for when I was personally attacked with my self-worth and denial and such. It is here FJ is correct. Granit I " sort" of brought it upon myself for telling Jillio that I believed her sarcasm was inappropriate here in this thread. But the insight she proceeded with had...

PFH if this was the first time I have witnessed this type of bullying before on this forum I would simply ignore it and be gone from this thread. But I have been here over a year, and have seen this type of stuff happen alot with people seeking CI's. I respect you for not getting one. I give...

    Cochlear Implant Patients.

Well I just wonder why? What part of his original post don't you understand? He never asked for ASL related answer's. He asked for those of US who have a CI what to expect and what not to. And you guy's tried telling him and I for that matter that there are other avenue's to dealing with his...

Read what PFH? I was here throughout this whole entire thread. I have read both of your's and jillio's post's! Seriously get a grip. You don't want a CI kudo's for you. It's sad that you guys feel compelled to come in here and tell us how we feel when you are not US.

    Cochlear Implant Patients.

The info you were giving him had nothing pertaining to his question's re-read the op. Then read your's and jillio's post! Neither of you added anything to his questions about the surgery or the device! why can't you see this. Neither of you two have a CI or had the surgery. But sure felt the...

LOL find offense in everything don't some of you? I was a Patient! I don't find that offensive and if you do that's awfully sad. Cancer patient's sure have alot more to worry about than the term Patient!

    Cochlear Implant Patients.

This is great 2 poster's ganging up on a newcommer who came here and asked specific questions in regard's to CI's. Might I add that neither gave any real contribution to the question in the original post but came here and argued over things that have no bearing on CI's.. Typical AD threads!

PFH when jillio stated that he cannot tell from fact or fiction. I just stated fact!

A good silencer will reduce noise by about 30 decibels, 1000 times less intensity or 8 times less loudness. They work well even on a high powered rifle, but do not make them quiet; they will make them safe to shoot without ear plugs though.
