    Need a lawyer.

If you cannot find a lawyer (I assume a Deaf one?), I would suggest you Google for other Deaf people across America and use them as a network to help you connect to the right ones in California. Hope that helps!

manners when it come to wedding invites.

If it was me, I would inform then that "Due to our budget, we can only have close family members and few very close friends. I hope you understand! And thank you for your profound interest in our wedding affairs!" As long as it doesn't attack them, but recognize them, I think you would be fine. :)

knew they's come up with this and i hope that they do build it!!...

That concept has been around for a few years now. I believe they're not building it due to the economy at the moment.

    How are you feeling today?....

Feeling a range of feelings from feeling pissy to wanting to be a jackass to kindly helping an old man with his groceries to feeling like there has to be something more to life, etc etc etc. Don't like my feelings. :(

for those likes space and planets...theres a rogue planet found!....

I really wonder what will happen if that planet came to our system and our lovely Jupiter tries to save us by taking on that planet, I wonder what the fallout will look like, how our solar system will end up becoming and how Earth will survive it...or not.

What are you thinking about? Part VI

What I'm thinking about? Would be too much for some people to embrace and join me in same thoughts. :( Sometimes being smart/deep thinker can be lonely.

    anyone remembered Kristen Henson??

She might not own the language but to be a devil's advocate here, it would be like a white boy writing a book about the African American city/ghetto language culture including slang words, etc that is widely known that only the black folks can say to each other (or so they say). Do you really...

Why are there no Deaf Wilderness First Repsonder course?

Problem with getting interpreters for Wilderness First Responder is that not only are there few deaf people either interested in it or even aware about such trainings, it's also a non-profit organization and we all know how pricy hiring interpreters can be. I was told once that it was *I* who...

Why are there no Deaf Wilderness First Repsonder course?

I would love to! But the irony with that is in order to teach my own Deaf Wilderness First Responder, I need to be certified in both Wilderness First Responder and then instructor certification (to avoid legal lawsuits and following laws, etc). Great idea but got to start at the bottom.

Why are there no Deaf Wilderness First Repsonder course?

As a side note/back story on the why I asked: I used to be certified but during the training, doing it with a bunch of hearing folks was not easy, especially when they don't know what Deaf people need when they're injured or how to help Deaf people during their moments of panic or pain...

Why are there no Deaf Wilderness First Repsonder course?

I've been searching high and low for Deaf Wilderness First Responder courses to take but alas, there is none to be found (or I am looking in all the wrong places). I'm pretty sure there are many wilderness-minded Deaf folks out there that are wondering the same thing or if luck could be had...

    Can D/HH people become engineer?

Isadora, if you need any help with relocating to Minnesota should you find an Engineering job in the Twin Cities (which I've seen plenty of in the Ads) let me know and I'll see what I can do to help you as well as the Deaf community here. You wont be alone.

What can I do with my worthless Community Psy BA degree? And other questions.

Hopefully you are right, Reba. After thinking about it for a while, I think maybe I should just get a Masters and PhD in Psychology itself and use that to apply wherever. But meanwhile, I'm also still thinking of what areas of focus a BA in Community Psychology has in the job field outside...

What can I do with my worthless Community Psy BA degree? And other questions.

Aye, been thinking about a PhD in Psychology as I'm a Deaf man with fluent ASL and English speaking/writing. I am just not sure what or rather where I can go with it. I am very interested in behavioral analysis but I'm also not sure how to apply that to the Deaf community as there are hardly...
