Do you allow your kids use iPad?

I don't have kids, but I would let them use my iPad within reason. I wouldn't in a hindsight let them own one though.

Man ignores child's cries for help, gets arrested

This is sad as more and more people are becoming selfish and wanting to please themselves more than others.

    Hi :D

Well, sci-fi isn't for everyone, but nonetheless, many inventions have been built because of the inspiration people has gotten from sci-fi movies.

It is not always going to be the case that a Deaf parent will want to adopt a deaf child. It is perfectly fine if a hearing person wants to adopt a deaf child, but that hearing person should know sign language to a certain degree as well as Deaf Culture.

    How are you feeling today?....

I am feeling so tired. I have not ever been a morning person. It'd be nice to have a job where I can sleep all day! Wait...is there a PhD in sleeping I could obtain?

Don't assume that every hearing person who adopts a deaf child wants to have a CI implanted in that child or force the child to be oral. At least, by Lois coming to this forum, she can be properly educated on the true needs of a deaf child, especially one who is to be adopted.

    Hello!

That's good to hear! Don't be so superficial! I want details!! Did you see people at your high school use sign language? Did you just happen to see deaf people in your community using sign language? Did you take sign language classes or did you initially learn ASL on your own? :hmm: Oh...

    What did you learn today?

I noticed it is a tendency of yours to get the last word in. Just saying.

    What did you learn today?

Just because you don't see any elderly people with regrets it doesn't mean there absolutely aren't any elderly people who have regrets. I have known elderly people who had regrets. Always trying to get the last word in? :laugh2:

    Hello!

Nice! You can become completely fluent only if you immerse yourself in the language and the Deaf culture. The question begs it. How did you get into ASL? Fine. Be that way! The Longhorns are much cooler and tougher than the wimpy looking Baylor Bears. Just kidding. :)

    RIP Windows XP

PCs reigned back then because Apple lost its popularity when Jobs was ousted. Macs can run Windows, but not the other way around. This is true and proven statement.

    Hello!

:welcome: Welcome to the All Deaf forum! That's great you sign. How long have you been signing? I am disappointed you are going to attend Baylor University for I am not a fan of Baylor Bears, but rather the Texas Longhorns! :laugh2:

    What did you learn today?

Mark, this is why I told you I don't use absolute quantifiers. Yes, there are some elderly folks who still have a sense of happiness and satisfaction. So move on. Anyway, today, I learned Venus Williams has been eliminated from the Sony Open tournament by Dominika Cibulkova. Serena needs to...

    RIP Windows XP

Actually, a lot of programs are written for the Windows OS. Also, a lot of schools like to use Windows because it is more intuitive (in their opinion). Ha. I leap with joy when I see schools using Apple products. :laugh2:

    What did you learn today?

I am pretty aware of that, Mark. I made my comments in such a way as it does not speak of a specific elderly one who is a member of AD or speaks of elderly people as a whole. This is why I don't use absolute quantifiers.

    What did you learn today?

I'll go out on a limb and say you are using a MAC OS based computer. Am I right? :hmm: You can plainly see it in their face and their emotions tells it all. Elderly people do have regrets when they look back on their long life as they have plenty of time during the day to retrospect on their...

    What did you learn today?

For the umpteenth time, I don't use absolute quantifiers unless it is warranted. Not all elderly, indeed, are bitter, grumpy, or [insert whatever else adjective you wish to use]. The fact is that as one gets older, the more they think about death that is looming. This is only natural. I have...
