So, if the jobs and, "other issues" don't pan out, they still keep the homes. Where does the money come for the utilities of those homes? Logistically, how is this supported? If those other things are not taken care of by the recipient, more money is being spent, right?

Has the culture of isolationism passed with the advent of more CI users at Gally? After all, that was the point Fernandes was trying to make. Does a person still need to be born deaf or reject all technology to be considered Deaf enough?

WDYS has a good point, even if it is presented nobody knows if it is true. Personally, I'd rather see hearing vs non-hearing. But, even in that case I wouldn't know if it were true or not. The fact is, you have to take most of this internet stuff with a grain of salt.

Self checkout never works because most of the time the instructions are audio instead of captions. Ordering, on the other hand, might be pretty good because you can pick and choose.
