We went coat shopping today and tried to find a coat without a synthetic lining. No luck. OK, Parents who have BTDT.... ...what is the real scoop with winter coats and toddlers with CIs? Do we really have to go cotton flannel lining, or can we get a nice, warm fleece?

Isaacsmom, I just found this thread. He handed you his bandage and signed Thank You. OMG! Tears came to my eyes when I read that. What a doll! Toes ripped hers off during a nap on day two. I went in to get her and found her crib full of gauze.

I like the pouch idea, too. My MIL is a fabulous seamstress and I know she would love to create something for Toes to help with her CI. The GParents feel so left out at times.

Hi, Isaacsmom! We also ordered both a BTE and a Body Worn. Toes is a peanut and I don't think the BTE is going to be able to sit on her ear for quite awhile. But as soon as that BTE fits on the ear, we are making the switch. Our audiologist suggested one of each. That is great...

I do want to comment on this... My husband and I have been in contact with tons of hearing parents of children with and without CIs. And there is only one family we have met that did not go through a very difficult decision making process before deciding on a CI. And that family annoys...

Thank you everyone for all of the great advice! It is very difficult to sort it all out. I am trying to stay fairly neutral at this point. So, don't mind me if I sit back and take it all in for awhile. And, I apologize to Fragmenter for kind of taking over this thread. :)

LOL! I have read some of the exchanges between you and Fragmenter and I couldn't figure why he was so hard on you, making cracks about your age and such! Now I understand! I had no idea you were mother and son! :giggle: It all makes sense now.
