Ya the closest Deaf school to me is Sir James Whitney and they, and every other Deaf School in my province, state that a student has to have a sensorineural loss of 55 dB or greater. Obviously there are some exceptions but it has to be approved and if I know my province well it better be a good...

It does semi give people a hard attack because they aren't used to seeing an iPhone flash haha but it's really handy for me!

I like my iPhone. It has an ok speaker phone but it has a LED flash for alerts so incoming calls, notifications, and any messages under hearing accessibility. Texting can be weird if you aren't used to a touch screen but its easy after a few days.

If there is a cure found doesn't mean people will take it. There are MANY deaf people who wouldn't take it thus keeping the deaf community stable and not "rotting" off as you put it.

There are ALOT of free apps that you can take advantage of without having to pay. But if you want to pay without using a visa you can get those iTunes gift cards at the pharmacy..they're usually with all the other gift cards you can select as gifts. You can buy an iTunes gift card for yourself...

I love travelling with my iPad. I put games on it and a bunch of cool other apps and can use the internet as long as I have wifi of course. It's easier to carry around vs my laptop. For reading I have a kobo as I can't read on the iPad for long periods of time cuz it strains my eyes more. I LOVE...

I totally get that... a lot of even hearing people just don't get to learn english as thoroughly and some people who can speak english are illiterate. I just found it odd that in some posts she spells a word correctly and a few posts later she doesn't.

Not to pry...but if you were mainstreamed and did not go to deaf school and don't know ASL is there a reason why you sort of write in ASL? I've noticed in some posts you spell ok and some posts you write the same word and spell it wrong...?
