I do get these 'surges' too when I'm placing my CI..even with new map...so I always have fast beating of my heart when I first put it..when I put it when I'm outside in traffic does it help..lol after 15 mins it's down to normal...

I got my first appt around November.I got my approval around February , two days before my birthday.I was implanted end of May , there was some cancellation so I was bumped up in the list as my insurance expired very soon.
