Totes agree with you there...different cultures have food which are based on their region (food that grows there or are in abundance), people who are Deaf/HoH are from all over the world, ergo, their food would be apart of the other culture they are apart of, IMOH :)

They're not going to the mall to eat McDonald's. They're shopping and needed a break to eat lunch or whatever...some malls don't have a huge selection of food court options, and if you don't like chinese/japanese food, that limits you to really, pizza (usually sub-par pizza sold by the slice)...

Normal is subjective and based on individual cultures...what's normal in NYC is not the same normal as some middle-of-nowhere town in the midwest...

I think it depends on the person...I was actually less social before I started losing my hearing (before 3rd grade) and now I'm extremely social (but I'm only in the hearing world)...it always made my best friend and I laugh because I'm the one who loves my alone time and have a hard time...
