If you want a poor man's design, then use a coat hanger. I have tried it and it works great! Been using it for a month now. My VP does not fall off nor feels loose.

    Calling OJO to VP200

Do you also have a VP-200? If you do, and you unplugged it to test the DVC1000 and Chevy57 dialed your number, your DVC 1000 would ring because Sorenson has the IP address on their system and that is what makes your DVC 1000 ring. If you don't have a VP-200 then *shrugs* It's a miracle that it...

    focus on high-tech for deaf

I say Closed Captioning. We need it fixed for HDMI (DVD or Blu-Ray player over HDMI) so we can have less cables and high definition picture. Also I want all and every channel to have captioning. I see a lot of good shows on The Comedy channel and they are never captioned, even though they are...

    Newly Acquired VP200 Help

When you got your VP-200, didn't the installer who installed it get it working for you? They should have done that before they leave your house.

    20/20 tester group for MVP

From what I heard, the 20/20 is when HOVRS chose 20 people to be beta testers, then those 20 people pick 20 of their friends to beta test. Thus, the name 20/20.That means 400 new people will get a MVP for beta testing.

    "Update your VP"

I second that. I always prefer to use port forwarding over DMZ. Even though the VP-200 is not really hackable, DMZ is ok, but I am a control freak and I like to specify only the ports that are necessary.

    "Update your VP"

diehardbiker is correct. NAT is for when you want to use ONE ip address on a network (i.e. at home) with multiple computers and a VP and the DNS is the Domain Name System is what gives the IP address to a name such as yahoo.com. See Domain Name System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia . NAT and...

    Vp-200 + wrt54g2?

I think you misunderstood ExoriaX's message, he says it all is working great with NO black screen and it does NOT drop to 15fps. No need to call SorensonVRS tech support.

    Vp-200 + wrt54g2?

Great! Now all you need to do is set up port forwarding like this and then you will be good to go. Note: Make sure you set it up under Port Range Forwarding.

    Vp-200 + wrt54g2?

Are you using port forwarding or DMZ? I've noticed that if you use port forwarding rather than DMZ (with Linksys routers anyway) you have better luck with not having black screen. But I'm with rhr - DD-WRT is the best firmware for Linksys, if you can get it to work.

    BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 from T-Mobile is out

No it doesn't. They both are different. See picture to compare, 8900 on the left, Bold on the right. http://images.intomobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/javelin1.jpg

    BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900 from T-Mobile is out

I bought one. I just renewed my existing plan for another two years and got it for $299 with a $100 rebate, which will end up being $199. My monthly plan is the same at $29.99 for unlimited data. I'm grandfathered in the old price plan, so if you create a new account, you will be at the current...

A friend of mine has it with VOIP and it works pretty good. I am a big fan of Linksys products, so I give it thumbs up.

    favourite modem/router brand

Actually, Linksys does work with VP100/200. If you have WRT54G versions 1 thru 4 and versions 8, and any newer Linksys routers, then VP will work. When Cisco bought out Linksys a while back, they changed the chipset in the routers to Anthros, in version 5, 6 and 7, they did not work with VP...

    Tivo feedbacks

I have three Tivos in my house and I love them! It's better than using a VCR to record your shows. I even upgraded my Tivo hard drive to 750 MB so I can hold 900+ hours on my Tivo. If you have Digital cable, then I recommend the Tivo HD or Tivo XL as it will save shows in HD format. Only the...

    favourite modem/router brand

I have the Linksys WRT350N with Motorola 3347 DSL modem in bridge mode. Reason I went with the WRT350N is because it supports N wireless, and it has Gigabit ports and it has an USB connection for if you want to plug in an external hard drive for a network storage drive.
