Sounds fishy. I remembered him in Colorado a few years back when he set up ASL Festival and was told he kept all monies for himself.

How do you set up two videophones inside a home?

Call customer information relations and ask if you can have SLP (second listening port) enabled on the second VP-200. Even though you are tech savvy - they may still require a trainer to go over because the trainer needs to enter the back door with a userid and password of the VP-200 to set that...

    Sorenson's scare tactic is pathetic

Has it ever occurred to you that maybe it is not for themselves, but maybe so Sorenson can use the money to come out with newer and better VRS equipment and give them out to the deaf community for free?

    Sorenson's scare tactic is pathetic

Not just Sorenson. ConvoRelay is doing the same. Convo Communications

Purple going out of business ?

Remember that Sorenson and other providers do not own the numbers, so it takes time for the "middle man" to do the transfer as well, so it is NOT Sorenson's fault. I had a number from Viable, it was very easy for me to remember and I requested that it be ported to my other device. My viable...

Purple going out of business ?

I think that's obvious. Say, you have a cell phone from AT&T, and your phone number is 123-456-7890. You find a better phone (and deal) at Verizon, but you want to keep your phone number. You port 123-456-7890 to Verizon. Now you have an AT&T phone without service. Can you make/receive calls...

    Express yourself

Not sure if this is the right place to put it, but looks like Sorenson is having a video contest - $1000 prize. Anyone can enter. Express Yourself

New easy to use, inexpensive video communication technology

Who gets paid? There are countless of softwares that are web based, if not, very easy to install by clicking Next, next, next, finish anyway. I don't think anyone is going to pay $1.50 an hour if us deafies have access to and been using software similar to that for free for the past few years...

    Fine print on ZVRS

I ported my TMO Blackberry number to a new AT&T Blackberry. My TMO Blackberry stopped working. That is the same concept with a VP-200 when a number is ported away. Are you guys too cheap to provide Local Numbers yourselves?

Is there any progressive DVD player with built in caption decoder?

^^^^ This does not have HDMI nor Component outputs. I think that is what Bill is looking for (and so am I). My Sony Upscaling DVD player will display captions if I use component, but it will not if I use HDMI.

    Favorite Alerting System?

I posted some ideas a month or so ago at this post: http://www.alldeaf.com/deaf-products-technologies/72240-damnit-my-head-hurts-intercom-doorbell.html#post1463382 I use Insteon stuff from Smarthome. It blends in with your light switches and works great.

    do you love tivo?

I'm a Tivo freak here. I have a Tivo HD and I upgraded the hard drive with a 1 TB hard drive. I also have a Tivo Series 2 with a 750 GB hard drive.

    Damnit... my head hurts (intercom/doorbell)

Its fairly new and much more reliable than X10. Mine works 100% of the time, whereas when I had Sonic Alert or X10, they worked about 60% of the time.

    Damnit... my head hurts (intercom/doorbell)

I am not 100% sure how your intercom works. But if people push the button and it provides 18v (like a doorbell) or 70-80v like a ringing phone, you can get the Elk Doorbell and Phone Ring detector (has both, so you can determine which you need to use) and the Insteon I/O Low Voltage closure...

I know others have it, and I don't care. I love Blackberry and I'm glad Blackberry is finally getting on the front camera bandwagon.
